The UK's only national Truck racing championship has been running for over 25 years with 2015 possible the most successful seen. It features twin axle tractor units, based upon series production trucks but with major performance modifications. Turbocharged diesel engines of up to 14,000ccc feature power outputs of up 1200 horsepower and over 50p0Nm of torque.

Top speed on all competing trucks is restricted to 100mph (160km/h) and is verified by a GPS system, which as a result produces extremely close racing. The minimum weight limit is 5500kgs with a minimum of 3200kgs on the front axle, so the vehicles tend to understeer until heavy throttle application generates major oversteer, resulting in spectacular cornering techniques!

Trucks feature water-cooled disc brakes but ABS (Anti-Lock brake systems) are prohibited. Traction control (ASR) is also prohibited and automatic gearboxes are not allowed putting more emphasis on driver skills.

The trucks race five times in each weekend with a 'Reverse Grid' applied to each result. In addition the slower Division two machines start in front of the Division one trucks.

Division two is intended as lower cost introductory class the main difference being that modern technology (electronic engine systems, adjustable shock absorbers etc.) is accepted in the technical regulations for Division One.
